Catalina

Every so often we take out some friends on our family boat. On one occasion, we were planning on taking out the boat to Catalina. My mother in law heard that we were going to take out our Newport Beach plastic surgeon friend and his jetsetter buddy from Laguna beach whom we have never met. She got really insecure that the boat might not be up to their standards since it didn’t have a bathroom in it. “They’ll be roughin’ it on the boat.. do you think they can handle it?” Well, one of the first stories that Sanjay tells us in Catalina was that he just got back from his multi day hiking trip in the mountains where they “leave no trace behind. “ Which meant he had to poop in a plastic bag and carry that poop with him in his backpack for days. When we got back from Catalina, I was happy to report back to my mother in law that roughin’ it was not a problem for our new friends. I would also like to add that Juel had no problems jumping off the side of the boat to pee in the water and climb back in to continue on with our conversation without skipping a beat. We had such a great time. Lots of laughing and memories that will last a lifetime.
